My name is Dean. This site, under my hilarious company name Yoyodyne Radiation Services, is to showcase bits and pieces of knowledge I’ve come across related to radiation protection, NORM and the science and maths behind it.
I’m reminded of the saying by the Roman philosopher Seneca:
“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity”
By putting this tacit knowledge down somewhere, out of my head, I’m hoping someone in the future will either recall it or more likely stumble upon via Google, and it will help them. I’m also fully expecting that future someone to be myself from time to time as I’ve got a questionable memory.
And for those wondering where the name comes from, I first saw it in the 1984 ‘classic’ movie The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (IMDB) which has a cast it has absolutely no business having on-board, and then again latter making cameos in Star Trek TNG onwards.
